The Star and the Giants
Once upon a time, in a faraway kingdom, there was a princess. The chamber in which she lived was adorned with gold. The walls were decorated with precious stones of various colors and the room was filled with the scent of acacia wood. The ceiling was studded with diamonds and small sea pearls.
The floor was covered in daisies and the bed in which the princess slept was surrounded by exotic flowers. A Letter from the Author
Dear Reader,
If you are reading these words, it means you've stayed with me until the very end. Thank you. Forget Me Not is a story that has lived in my heart for a very long time before it ever found its way onto paper.
The seed for this book was planted years ago. As a language teacher and someone who spent a significant part of her life in the theatre, I have always been fascinated by the power of memories, how the people, places, and fleeting moments we love leave a permanent mark on our souls. They become our personal guiding stars when the sky gets dark.
Writing this book was a journey of its own, mostly crafted during stolen moments late at night, balancing between lesson plans and family life here in the Czech Republic. To see it finally reach your hands—and your heart—is a dream come true.
Before you go, I have one small favor to ask.
If this story touched you, made you smile, or sparked a memory of your own, I would be incredibly grateful if you could take just a minute to leave a short, honest review at the retailer where you purchased this book, or on Goodreads. You don't need to write an essay. For an independent author, even a single sentence is like a beacon of light that helps other readers discover this book.
Thank you for your time, your imagination, and for letting my words into your world.
With all my gratitude and love,
